Dear Mom,

I know it’s been a while,

And I know that

You’re a stranger now.

Maybe you always have been.

I also know

Neither of us can make up

For all the time lost.

But mom please know this,

I forgive you.

And I wish you nothing

But peace and happiness.

I still love you.

And I hope

Wherever you are,

You still love me too.

Could Have Been

I may have never met you,

So many choices

Would have led me

Many miles away.

Our paths could of never crossed

Maybe we’d both be better off

If I had stayed home that day,

Or took the bus instead of the train.

But how could better off

Not include you?

And if it does

I don’t want it to.
